Unfair taxation? I drove on roads, strolled in parks, enjoyed safe foods and beverages monitored by government oversight, slept like a baby while the military protected me…and a zillion other examples. We all use specific services that are funded by the entire team, regardless of whether others use them. I don’t care for all forms of art, but I understand its value to others and I’m willing to have my money fund it. A diverse society requires tolerance and benevolence for certain things we may not use or understand. It’s good to have all of you on our team. My paycheck deductions are my investment in everyone’s pursuit of happiness, not just my own.
